On November 20, 2010 the Marriot hotel in Prague hosted a trade show of American and Czech franchise concepts and services, named FrAMchise Day 2010. Part of the FrAMchise Day program included a conference focused on franchises, featuring a number of prominent franchise business owners and experts in the field. Among them were the representatives of NIKE, RE/MAX, Vodafone, as well as the renowned economist and member of the government National Economic Council, Ing. Tomas Sedlacek from CSOB. JUDr. Jiri Ctibor lectured on the topic „Strategy of Successful Master-Franchising“ and was very well received.

The Austrian network of fast car services, FASTBOX, enters the Czech market this fall. The company decided to begin its Czech expansion by purchasing five fast car services from Halfords, which pulled from the market this summer. ZILVAROVÁ CTIBOR HLADKÝ became the legal consultant for FASTBOX in this acquisition, as well as its further expansion in the Czech Republic.

Mgr. Jan Grinc, who currently holds the position of legal assistant in the ZILVAROVÁ CTIBOR HLADKÝ law firm, successfully passed final state exams at the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague. Jan will remain a member of the ZILVAROVÁ CTIBOR HLADKÝ team as a lawyer. At the same time, Jan continues his education for doctoral studies at the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague.

ZILVAROVÁ CTIBOR HLADKÝ prepared the complete contractual documentation for IMPULS–Leasing–AUSTRIA s.r.o. (a member of the Raiffeisenlandesbank banking group) which, together with CZ LOKO company, won a tender for the modernization of Czech Railways and lease back of 19 locomotives from the 750 line. All modernized locomotives should be in operation within two years and the introduction of upgraded equipment signifies the phasing out of older lines of diesel locomotives.
